We travelled through the Haast pass from Wanaka to Haast, on the west coast of New Zealand, on a glorious sunny day. This is a spectacular route which takes you through the Mount Aspiring National Park, snaking alongside the Haast River. There are a number of viewpoints to stop at along the way.
