CLIMBING TABLE MOUNTAIN IN CAPE TOWN WITH KIDS

There are numerous ways to summit Table Mountain. We chose to hike up Platteklip Gorge, a steep two hour climb, up a gorge at the front of the mountain. It is a tough climb but rewarding for its spectacular views over Cape Town. It is do-able with kids as long as they are used to hiking.

The hike up Platteklip Gorge is approximately 3.5 miles and takes 2-3 hours. Staring the climb up Platteklip Gorge, Table Mountain in South Africa

The path is easy to follow, although very steep and rocky. It is a strenuous hike but Dylan, Logan and Flynn all managed fine. They are turning into great little hikers. They thought it was like climbing steps in the hot sun for two hours..!
